Puffing/micro-explosion in composite multi-component droplets

چکیده
A new simple model for the puffing and micro-explosion of composite multi-component water/liquid fuel droplets is suggested. This based on assumption that a spherical water sub-droplet located in centre droplet. The effects droplet thermal swelling are considered; Abramzon Sirignano applied analysis heating evaporation. It assumed puffing/micro-explosion starts when temperature at interface becomes equal to nucleation temperature. Assuming species diffusion coefficient constant each time step, equation inside solved analytically. Raoult’s law surface used. analytical solution incorporated into numerical code alongside previously obtained heat transfer Both solutions used step calculations. kerosene/water droplets. experimentally observed predicted times shown be reasonably close, decrease with increasing ambient gas temperatures increase initial radii. Taking account presence multiple components leads longer compared case kerosene approximated by cycloundecane (the dominant component kerosene).

Multi-perspective compact explosion diagrams
This article presents a system to automatically generate compact explosion diagrams. Inspired by handmade illustrations, our approach reduces the complexity of an explosion diagram by rendering an exploded view only for a suitable subset of the assemblies of an object. However, the exploded views are chosen so that they allow inferring the remaining unexploded assemblies of the entire 3D model....

متن کاملHydrodynamics of Leidenfrost droplets in one-component fluids.
Using the dynamic van der Waals theory [Phys. Rev. E 75, 036304 (2007)], we numerically investigate the hydrodynamics of Leidenfrost droplets under gravity in two dimensions. Some recent theoretical predictions and experimental observations are confirmed in our simulations. A Leidenfrost droplet larger than a critical size is shown to be unstable and break up into smaller droplets due to the Ra...
متن کاملCorrectness of Model-based Component Composition without State Explosion
We present a methodology for designing component-based systems and verifying their temporal behavior properties. Our verification method is mostly automatic, and is not susceptible to the well-known state-explosion problem, which has hitherto severely limited the practical applicability of automatic verification methods. Our method specifies the externally visible behavior of each component as ...
